I’m Rían, an Irish recording artist, singer and songwriter with a passion for creating music that tells stories and connects with people. Since releasing my debut single, “The Gift of Freedom”, I’ve been fortunate to receive support from radio stations across Ireland and to collaborate with some incredibly talented musicians along the way.
Songwriting has always been at the heart of what I do. From reimagining timeless classics to creating original music inspired by life and family, I’m always looking for new ways to bring stories to life through song. One of the highlights of my journey has been recording with legendary Motown artist Charlene, blending contemporary sounds with the Celtic influences that reflect my Irish roots. I’m grateful to share my music with audiences and look forward to what’s still to come.

Rían releases new single “Divide of Ten” feat. Charlene
Dublin singer-songwriter Rían has teamed up with American singer Charlene for his new single, Divide of Ten.
The track brings together the emerging Irish artist, whose real name is Ryan McKenna, with the singer best known for the 1982 international hit I’ve Never Been to Me. Recorded in Ireland and the United States, the duet will introduce Rían’s music to a wider audience while marking Charlene’s latest collaboration.
